Speech Title: Unlocking Digital Value: Why Servitization and Innovation Matter

Abstract: Amid rapid technological advancement, the technology manufacturing sector faces increasing pressure to move beyond traditional efficiency-driven models to maintain competitive standing. While digital transformation has emerged as a critical strategy for enhancing value creation, the specific organizational mechanisms that translate digital capabilities into tangible performance have remained underdeveloped in existing literature. This study investigates how digital transformation capability (DTC) influences firm performance through the parallel mediating roles of servitization and product innovation. Empirical evidence was gathered via a questionnaire survey targeting 191 professionals in Taiwan’s technology manufacturing industry. The research model was assessed using hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypothesized relationships between high-order organizational resources and market outcomes. The results demonstrate that DTC has a significant and positive direct impact on firm performance. Furthermore, mediation analysis confirms that both servitization and product innovation function as vital "twin engines" for value realization. Specifically, the transition toward integrated solution-provider models and agile product development allows firms to institutionalize digital resources more effectively. The findings suggest that for technology manufacturers, competitive advantage is not derived from technology adoption alone but from the "configurational" power to align internal architecture with external digital opportunities. This study contributes theoretically by advancing the Resource-Based View and unpacking the "black box" of digital value creation. Managerially, it offers a strategic roadmap for executives seeking to maximize returns on digital investments through integrated innovation and service strategies.
