Welcome to MMBD 2026!

Co-organized by Xiangnan University and HKU SAAS Data Science Lab (School of Computing and Data Science, The University of Hong Kong), the 7th International Conference on Modern Management based on Big Data (MMBD 2026) is to be held during July 15-18, 2026 in Matsue, Japan together with the 5th International Conference on Digitalization and Management Innovation (DMI 2026).

In the era of big data, modern management is undergoing tremendous changes. As an annual event, the MMBD conference is aimed at providing a high-level platform for experts and scholars all over the world to share their latest ideas of big data and management and to foster the prosperity of the discipline. MMBD 2026 features "new ecology of lifelong education" supported by Hunan Lifelong Education Research Base Xiangnan University Base, and Track on "Applied-education and applied-research in AI, Data Science, and Web6.0", the Second Edition (proposed and chaired by Dr. Adela Lau from HKU SAAS Data Science Lab, School of Computing and Data Science, The University of Hong Kong). The agenda of the conference consists of keynote speeches, invited speeches, oral presentations and poster presentations.

Matsue, often referred to as the "City of Water," is a picturesque city located in Shimane Prefecture, on the western coast of Japan's main island. Renowned for its stunning natural beauty, Matsue is embraced by Lake Shinji and the Ohashi River, which lends the city its nickname and contributes to its serene atmosphere. The cityscape features a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese architecture and modern elements. With its harmonious blend of history, nature, and modernity, Matsue presents a unique and authentic Japanese experience that captivates visitors from around the globe.

MMBD conferences have emerged and developed under the uncertainty and changes caused by the global pandemic of COVID-19. DMI/MMBD2025 were held successfully in Hong Kong during July 7-9, 2025. DMI/MMBD2024 were held smoothly during October 25-27, 2024 in the campus of Beijing Wuzi University, Beijing, China. DMI/MMBD2023 were held during August 1-4, 2023 in Seoul, South Korea. The past three MMBD conferences all finally changed to online mode from 2020 to 2022.

There will be many academicians, particularly professors and post-graduate students, especially Ph.D. scholars from different universities worldwide. Many policymakers and top managers of organizations as well as business companies will be present at the conference. Therefore, this conference signifies a platform for academicians and practitioners to generate ideas in big data and management.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite policymakers and top managers, scientists, experts as well as academicians and technicians all over the world to participate in MMBD 2026 during July 15-18, 2026 in Matsue, Japan.
